Press Release Body: Aon's marine team is planning to build its book of US business by appointing Paul White to a newly created role of head of the Americas liability team.
Paul will develop marine liability business from Aon's North American network and bring it into the London market. His other responsibilities include running the team, liaising with clients, broking and providing risk management advice. Paul has 30 years experience in the market and joins from broker Newman Martin and Buchan, where he was the senior director responsible for liability.
Stephen Hawke, executive director of Aon Marine and chairman of Aon PLF, said: "The maritime industry plays an important part in driving the huge North American economy. From the barge traffic along the Mississippi to the offshore business in the Gulf of Mexico, oil tankers and container vessels all serve to support the health of the world\'s largest economy. Coupled with the supporting infrastructure including ports, truckers and warehouses, this vast industry faces wide-ranging risks which can disrupt the flow of trade and threaten the health of businesses."
"Hence we've appointed Paul, who has an excellent reputation for working with North American clients, to help drive their business forward. We anticipate more new hires during the course of this year as we respond to the needs of Aon's global network and respond to the challenges facing the marine industry."entertainment and media liability insurance
